Overview

Living in Pelican Marsh

Pelican Marsh is a gated, master-planned community in North Naples, just east of US-41 and about 2 miles from Vanderbilt Beach. Building began in the mid-1990s, and most neighborhoods were finished by 2007. The community spreads over a large footprint with freshwater lakes and more than 133 acres of protected preserve, so it feels green and open.

There are about 26 sub-neighborhoods, which range from condos and coach homes to villas, single-family homes and large estates. Each neighborhood has its own character. Some, like Grand Isle and Augusta, have their own gates, and the Estates at Bay Colony has its own staffed guardhouse and lots of up to an acre or more.

Golf is optional here. Pelican Marsh Golf Club is a private 18-hole course by Robert von Hagge that opened in 1994 and has hosted a Champions Tour event. Bay Colony Golf Club is a separate private club inside the community. Every resident can use the community center, with fitness, a spa, tennis, pickleball and dining, with no club membership needed.
